Migration Lead (L3)

Greetings from TCS!TCS is hiring for Migration Lead (L3) - (VMware + Wintel + AWS)Desired Experience Range: 8 to 10 YearsJob Location: Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, BhubaneswarDevelop and implement a comprehensive migration plan from on-premises VMware environments to AWS, focusing on minimal downtime and adherence to SLAs.Conduct migration readiness assessments and business case analysis.Design target state architecture in AWS for migrated Windows workloads, including networking (VPCs, security groups, load balancers), compute (EC2), and storage (S3, EBS).Lead the technical execution of migration projects, including P2V (Physical to Virtual) and V2V (Virtual to Virtual) migrations, leveraging tools such as AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), VMware HCX, vMotion, and cold migration.Provide expert-level knowledge and hands-on support for VMware technologies (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, SRM) and Windows Server operating systems (2012, 2016, 2019, etc.).Automate migration and administrative tasks using scripting tools like PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.Ensure system performance, security, and scalability in both the source and target environments.Manage and troubleshoot complex issues related to virtualized environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies across hybrid cloud setups.Oversee patching, security updates, vulnerability remediation, and compliance with industry standards.Plan and implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (networking, security, application, DevOps) to ensure seamless integration.Mentor junior staff and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for internal teams and clients.Create and maintain detailed documentation, including High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and runbooks. Extensive experience (typically 7-10+ years) in Wintel engineering or similar roles, with proven experience as a lead or subject matter expert (SME).Hands-on experience with large-scale workload migration projects to public clouds (AWS preferred).Deep expertise in Windows Server OS and core services (AD, DNS, DHCP).Strong proficiency in VMware virtualization (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).Hands-on experience with key AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and AWS MGN.Proficiency in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.).Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)) are advantageous
