Job Title: Team Leader – US Mortgage Underwriting (hiring for Captive Client)Location: Pune (Work from Office)Salary Budget: Up to ₹13,00,000 per annumExperience: 6–9 years (Minimum 2–3 years as TL)Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Team Leader – US Mortgage Underwriting to manage and mentor a team of underwriters while ensuring high-quality loan decisions in compliance with US mortgage guidelines. The role requires strong leadership, deep underwriting expertise, and a client-focused approach.Key Responsibilities • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of US Mortgage Underwriters • Allocate files and ensure timely completion as per SLAs • Perform complex underwriting decisions for Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans • Ensure compliance with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and investor guidelines • Conduct quality checks, audits, and coaching sessions to improve accuracy • Handle escalations, resolve underwriting issues, and communicate with clients • Monitor productivity, TAT, and quality metrics for the team • Prepare MIS reports and present performance updates to management • Support process improvements and automation initiatives • Assist in training new joiners and upskilling existing team membersRequired Skills & Qualifications • Strong knowledge of US Mortgage End-to-End Underwriting • Hands-on experience with Income, Asset, Credit, and Collateral Analysis • Expertise in DU / LP findings interpretation • Knowledge of ATR/QM rules and compliance standards • Experience handling pre-close, post-close, and conditions clearance • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills • Exposure to client interaction and audit handling is mandatoryEducational Qualification • Graduate in any discipline (Finance/Commerce preferred) • Relevant US Mortgage certifications are an added advantageWhy Join our Client • Competitive salary up to ₹13 LPA • Leadership role with growth opportunities • Stable US mortgage process with long-term engagement • Professional work environment in Pune
