2807 - QA Manual Testing

Title - Data Quality Engineer – Data Platform Modernization We are seeking a seasoned Data Quality Engineer to drive the test approach to ensure data quality through a large-scale data transformation initiative. Data is a critical enterprise asset and part of project strategic plan. Data Quality Engineers support that by verifying that data properly ingests according to the defined schema and there is no data corruption. The ideal candidate will have test lead experience, automation experience, agile experience, and familiarity with P&C insurance subject areas. Key Responsibilities Test Strategy Leadership Drive overall test strategy and create effective test cases and scenarios based on business and user requirements Drive test automation strategy, including appropriate tools, coordination with Data Engineering team, and ensuring appropriate balance of manual v automated testing Participate in reviews of architecture, design documents, requirements, and code; provide feedback to product owners, designers and developers. Ensure Data Quality Validate data that has been transformed via ETL/ELT processes across multiple layers (Medallion Architecture) and environments Validate data, user experience (UX), and non-functional requirements (NFRs) for analytical outputs such as data visualizations, dashboards, cubes, and reports Expose issues with data inconsistency, quality, security, performance, and end user experience and facilitate appropriate resolution Create effective test cases and scenarios based on business and user requirements Desired Skills & Competencies Data Acumen Understand relational database concepts, including data warehousing, data marts, and have a fundamental understanding of data architecture’s role in supporting data & analytics for an organization, including star schemas, subject areas, and the Medallion architecture Ability to read and understand a data model Ability to read, understand, and update, source to target mapping documents Industry Acumen Understand Agile methodologies Understand Property & Casualty and Specialty Insurance Tools/Software - Jira, Snowflake, Azure, DBT, Python, Power BI
