Job Title: Professor of Practice – Sales & Corporate RelationsLocation: Pune Institute of Business Management (PIBM), Pirangut, PuneAbout the RolePIBM is looking for a dynamic FMCG professional to transition into an academic-industry role. The candidate will mentor management students, bring real-world sales insights into the classroom, and leverage strong industry connections to drive placements and internships. This role is ideal for professionals who have worked as Regional Heads, Zonal Heads, Area Sales Managers, or in Corporate Relationship roles within the FMCG sector and are passionate about shaping future business leaders.Key ResponsibilitiesIndustry Interface & Corporate Relations ● Leverage strong PAN India FMCG network to build corporate partnerships● Onboard FMCG companies for placements and internships● Drive engagement through guest lectures, live projects, and industry visits● Act as a bridge between institute and industryStudent Mentorship & Learning Delivery ● Mentor MBA/PGDM students in FMCG sales, B2B strategies, and market execution● Deliver practical, industry-driven sessions and workshops● Conduct case studies, role plays, and sales simulations● Prepare students for corporate roles, interviews, and career readinessPlacement & Internship Enablement ● Facilitate hiring mandates and campus recruitment drives● Coordinate with companies for JD alignment and hiring processes● Ensure strong FMCG participation in placement cyclesCore FMCG Sales & Marketing Concepts (To Be Delivered) ● STP (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning)● 4Ps of Marketing (Product, Price, Place, Promotion)● AIDA Model (Customer Conversion Funnel)● Route-to-Market (RTM) & Distribution Strategy● General Trade vs Modern Trade● Basic Trade Marketing & Consumer Behavior InsightsEligibility Criteria ● MBA in Marketing (mandatory)● 7+ years of experience in FMCG industry● Experience in B2B sales / corporate relations roles● Background in roles like Regional Head, Zonal Head, Area Sales Manager, etc.● Strong PAN India connects with FMCG companies (mandatory)● Excellent communication, mentoring, and presentation skillsAcademic Preference ● PhD completed candidates will be given preference● Candidates pursuing PhD are also welcome● Opportunity to continue/complete PhD while working with the institute Preferred Skills● Strong understanding of FMCG distribution and trade marketing● Ability to translate industry experience into structured learning● Strong stakeholder management and networking skills● Exposure to campus hiring or training/mentoring is a plus
