A2MP believes shifting from raw material exports to local processing and transformation will contribute to strengthening Africa's industrial base, reduce its dependence on imports, and drive economic growth to position Africa as a global leader.Role Purpose: The Procurement Specialist will support the Category Management Specialist and Site Procurement Teams by executing procurement activities, assisting in category strategy implementation, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. This role focuses on operational support, supplier coordination, and data analysis to enable efficient procurement processes.Key Responsibilities:Assist in implementing category management strategies across sites.Support Site Procurement Managers in sourcing and vendor management activities.Conduct spend analysis and prepare reports for category managers.Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery and resolve operational issues.Ensure compliance with procurement policies and documentation standards.Maintain accurate procurement records and assist in contract administration.Provide market intelligence and supplier performance updates.Required Qualifications & Experience:Education: Preferably an Engineering degree (Mechanical, Mining, Civil, or related discipline).Experience: 8–10 years in procurement within mining, manufacturing, or construction industries.Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and ERP systems.Good analytical and communication skills.Objectives:Provide operational support to category and site procurement teams.Ensure timely and compliant procurement execution.Contribute to cost optimization and supplier performance improvement.
