This role owns the analytics support function, ensures predictable and disciplined support execution and serves as the primary escalation point for business stakeholders during analytics related incidents and recovery events.This role requires prior hands on production support experience. Candidates whose background is limited to analytics engineering or development without real production support ownership are not suitable for this role.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Support CultureLead and mentor the analytics support team with a clear emphasis on support excellence, accountability and customer first execution.Instill strong incident ownership behaviors including urgency, clarity and follow through.Develop team capability in analytics incident response, data issue triage, operational readiness and stakeholder communication.Identify skill gaps and ensure targeted upskilling focused on support effectiveness, not analytics development depth.Actively prevent developer or analyst first behaviors that undermine support reliability and data trust.Operational Support ExcellenceOwn day to day production support operations for analytics platforms and data pipelines across Production, UAT and Development.Ensure analytics incidents are triaged, prioritized and resolved based on business impact and data criticality.Lead analytics incident response, triage, escalation and resolution within defined SLAs.Serve as the primary decision maker during Sev 1 and Sev 2 analytics incidents including data rollback, workaround and stabilization actions.Ensure continuity of support across shifts, regions, weekends and holidays through disciplined handoffs.Incident Management & CommunicationAct as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders during analytics incidents and data quality issues.Ensure timely, accurate and consistent communication to business stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle.Prevent silent failures, delayed disclosures and data integrity blind spots during active issues.Conduct and own post incident reviews, ensuring root causes and corrective actions are tracked and implemented.Technical Oversight (Support Focused)Provide guidance on analytics platform architecture, data pipelines, transformation logic and operational dependencies.Partner with Analytics L3, engineering and infrastructure teams to validate remediation plans and operational readiness.Ensure analytics solutions are supportable, observable and operationally sound before and after release.Maintain and enforce analytics support documentation, runbooks, escalation paths and knowledge base content.Governance & Continuous ImprovementEstablish and enforce clear analytics support operating procedures including intake, triage, escalation paths and ownership boundaries.Analyze recurring analytics and data quality issues and implement preventive controls to reduce incident frequency and impact.Ensure compliance with security, data privacy and change management standards related to analytics platforms.Continuously improve analytics support effectiveness through metrics, retrospectives and targeted improvement.Required Experience:MandatorySignificant (5+ years) prior production support experience for analytics platforms or data pipelines.Prior experience in leading a data analytics support team.Demonstrated experience leading incident response and stakeholder communication under pressure.Experience managing or leading analytics support teams including distributed or offshore resources.Strong understanding of SLA driven support models and incident governance.Strongly PreferredExperience supporting enterprise analytics platforms or data engineering pipelines in production.Strong understanding of data ingestion, transformation, orchestration and monitoring patterns.Experience operating in regulated or data sensitive environments.Technical RequirementsStrong working knowledge of analytics platforms, including Dataiku, data pipelines and data lifecycle management.Working knowledge of Dataiku sufficient to understand production workloads, common failure scenarios, upgrade impacts and operational risk.Working knowledge of SQL sufficient to assess data incidents, remediation risk and validation outcomes.Familiarity with Python based analytics or orchestration workflows used in production.Ability to evaluate data quality risk, operational readiness and production stability across analytics platforms.Familiarity with monitoring, alerting and data observability practices.Working knowledge of cloud-based analytics environments.Ability to validate remediation approaches and challenge technical decisions without acting as a data engineer.Organization Overview:Mizuho Global Services (MGS), Pune is an integral part of Mizuho Financial Group, one of the world’s leading financial institutions with a strong global presence across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia.
