The Assistant Manager – Accounts & Finance Planning will be responsible for managing accounting operations, import & forex transactions, tax compliance, and treasury activities while coordinating closely with banks, auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.The role requires a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong experience in manufacturing finance, imports, LC handling, and forex payments. You will work closely with supply chain, operations, and leadership teams to ensure financial discipline, compliance, and efficient cash management.Role Description and Key ResponsibilitiesThe role involves tasks including but not limited to -Import, LC & Forex Operations (Mandatory)End-to-end handling of import transactions including documentation, accounting, and reconciliationsOpening, amendment, negotiation, and closure of Letters of Credit (LC)Managing forex payments and overseas vendor remittancesCoordination with banks for import settlements and LC limitsMonitoring FX exposure and supporting hedging / forward contract decisionsAccounting of BOE, customs duty, freight, insurance, and landed costAccounting & Financial PlanningMonthly and annual book closures including journal entries and reconciliationsPreparation of MIS, variance analysis, and management reportsBudgeting, forecasting, and tracking CAPEX / OPEXInventory valuation and reconciliationFixed asset capitalization and depreciationSupport cost analysis for manufacturing operationsManufacturing Finance Support (Mandatory)BOM costing, WIP accounting, and finished goods valuationCoordination with SCM and production teams for material costingPhysical inventory verification and reconciliationSupport cost sheet preparation and margin analysisTax Compliance & RegulatoryGST compliance (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns, reconciliations)TDS compliance including returns and reconciliationsIncome tax compliance including advance tax workings and assessmentsSupport tax audit and statutory audit requirementsHandling departmental notices and correspondenceFEMA compliance related to forex remittancesTreasury Related TasksDaily cash flow monitoring and liquidity planningPreparation of short-term and long-term cash flow forecastsWorking capital optimization (receivables, payables, inventory)Coordination with banks for CC/OD limits, bank guarantees, and LC facilitiesMonitoring utilization of credit lines and banking covenantsTracking interest costs and supporting borrowing optimizationSupporting fundraising or lender documentation if requiredCoordination with External FirmsPrimary SPOC for statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, company secretary, and banksProviding schedules, reconciliations, and documentation for auditsClosure of audit observationsSupporting due diligence and lender/investor data requestsKey SkillsStrong accounting and compliance orientationHands-on experience in imports, LC, and forex operationsTreasury and cash flow management capabilityAnalytical mindset with attention to detailStrong coordination with banks, consultants, and cross-functional teamsAdvanced Excel proficiency and ERP exposure (SAP / Oracle / Tally or similar)Desired Qualifications / Experience / BackgroundQualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory4-6 years of relevant experienceMandatory manufacturing industry experienceHardware / physical product company experience preferredStrong exposure to tax compliance and treasury operationsExperience in fast-growing or scaling organizations is a plusWhat We OfferHigh-impact role in India’s rapidly growing EV ecosystemExposure to advanced battery manufacturing operationsCompetitive compensation aligned with market standardsStrong learning across manufacturing finance, treasury, and international tradeOpportunity to grow into senior finance leadership rolesLocation: Two Offices in Pune.
