Drawing Study & Feasibility evaluations.To conclude a Letter of Confidentiality LoC and Non-Disclosure Agreement NDA To estimate the item costs and to draw up of the Quotation-BoM with the assistance of the Commodity Manager, the Commodity Buyer, the Supplier Quality Development, and – if necessary – of the Purchased Item Cost Analyzer.To nominate development suppliers in coordination with the Commodity Manager, the Commodity Buyer and the Supplier Quality Development. The nomination of a development supplier has to be presented at the IST. To define the target costs;the initial inquiry on the basis of the Bidders’ List, initial evaluation of offers with the assistance of the Commodity Buyer (CB) (before Design Freeze, Gate 400); to obtain the manufacturing feasibility confirmation from the supplier ( for the RfQs initiated by the PB ) (based on a drawing) To purchase the prototypes items during the Product Development Process (PDP); To fill and update the Supplier-Nomination-Forecast-List (SNF) To organize meetings to prepare the supplier decision (pre-meeting PB CB SQD) To conduct the Change Management and negotiations concerning any design change required during the Product development process with the assistance of the Commodity Buyer (CB); To monitor the deadlines and release states during the Product development process (esp. PPAP deadlines) with the assistance of the Supplier Quality Development; the Commodity Buyer (CB) is to be kept informed. As a monitoring tool, the PPAP-Status-Table / 4 / is utilized. Co-ordination of Purchasing tasks for international projects in global project teamsDrive material cost improvements in new projects including design to cost, challenging the status quo etc
