About the CompanyMIT College of Management (MITCOM) is seeking a qualified and experienced academic for the position of Assistant Professor to deliver MBA courses. The primary objective is to deliver high-quality education and conduct research in the respective specialization, strictly adhering to the AICTE norms for management faculty.About the RoleThe recruitment is open across the following MBA specializations: International Business, Business Analytics, Statistics / Mathematics (for foundational quantitative courses), FinTech, Port & Shipping Management, Logistics & Operations.ResponsibilitiesTeaching and Learning- Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for MBA students (minimum 16 hours of direct teaching per week, as per norms). - Develop and update course curriculum, teaching methodologies, and instructional materials to reflect the latest industry trends and academic advancements in the assigned specialization. - Conduct continuous student assessment through assignments, quizzes, projects, and examinations, providing constructive feedback. - Mentor and advise students on academic progress, career planning, and professional development.Research, Consultancy, and Publications- Actively engage in research and publication activities, aiming for high-impact journals (SCI/UGC/AICTE approved). - Supervise student dissertations, research projects, and field studies. - Write proposals for research and consultancy projects to seek external funding and establish industry collaboration. - Present research papers at national and international conferences.Institutional and Industry Engagement- Participate in departmental and University activities, including admissions, counseling, examinations, and organizing academic/cultural events. - Facilitate industry-institute interface, including organizing guest lectures, industrial visits, and ensuring student placements/internships in collaboration with the Corporate Relations & Placements Cell. - Contribute to administrative and leadership roles as required by the Head of School/University management. - Adhere to the University's philosophy of value-based education and holistic development.Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University. - Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) / Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) / C.A. / ICWA / . with First Class or equivalent (minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a relevant/allied subject. - Note: Candidates with an M.Tech. degree may be considered for Information Management related specialization (e.g., Business Analytics/FinTech). - Minimum two (2) years of professional experience after acquiring the Master’s degree. This experience can be in teaching, industry, research, or a profession. Teaching experience is preferable.Preferred Qualifications- Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant management discipline. - Cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC (like SLET/SET).
