Position Summary:As the Senior Associate for Alumni Outreach and Support, you will oversee and manage thewell-being and development of alumni from grades 10, 11, and 12 who have graduated fromAkanksha schools. This role is designed for an individual with a social worker mindset, focusingon alumni who require customized support to navigate the challenges they face in theiracademic, personal, and professional lives.Reports to: Director, Alumni Support and Engagement (ASE)Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that alumni who are struggling, whetheracademically, or with a lack of motivation, receive the appropriate support and guidance tothrive. This role combines both emotional support and practical assistance to help alumniovercome challenges, develop their strengths, and achieve their personal and professionalgoals.In collaboration with the Director, ASE, and other key stakeholders, you will work to createpathways that lead to the personal growth and independence of alumni while fostering a senseof community. Additionally, you will ensure that alumni do not drop out of college or equivalenteducational programs by offering continuous engagement and targeted resources. By fosteringa strong support system, you will help alumni navigate post-graduation life successfully and staycommitted to their educational and career paths.Key Responsibilities:Alumni Outreach & Support:- Provide one-on-one or group support to alumni facing challenges such as financialstress, academic struggles, lack of motivation, and other personal barriers. ∙ Design and implement customized action plans to address the unique needs of each alumni, in line with ASE goals. - Monitor alumni progress and provide ongoing mentoring and support as needed.Alumni Engagement & Community Building:- Develop initiatives and programs aimed at building a sense of community among alumni, ensuring they feel connected and supported post-graduation. - Foster relationships with alumni, facilitating networking opportunities and keeping themengaged in ASE activities. - Collaborate with the ASE team to ensure alumni remain connected to the Akanksha network.Program Development & Implementation:- Contribute to the creation of new programs and interventions designed to help alumni overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. - Collaborate with the Director, ASE, and other stakeholders to identify trends,challenges, and opportunities for growth within the alumni network.Collaboration & Coordination:- Work closely with other members of the ASE team to ensure seamless execution of alloutreach and support initiatives. - Coordinate with local partners, educational institutions, and other organizations toprovide alumni with the best available resources and opportunities.Tracking & Reporting:- Track alumni progress and maintain records of support provided, challenges faced, andmilestones achieved. - Regularly report on alumni engagement metrics and outcomes to the Director, ASE,providing insights into areas for improvement and opportunities for new interventions.Capacity Building & Awareness:- Support in organizing workshops, training sessions, and other events that aim to buildskills and confidence among alumni. - Raise awareness about the importance of mental health, career readiness, financialliteracy, and academic persistence, ensuring alumni have access to resources in theseareas.Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related fields.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in social work, community outreach, or educationalsupport, preferably working with alumni or youth in marginalized communities. - Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students in transition from school tocareer and life beyond. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of alumni with diverse needs.Familiarity with the educational landscape, particularly in the context of underservedcommunities. - Empathy and a passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers and achievetheir potential.Compensation: Based on skill sets, experience, and sector standards
