The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of recruitment, training, and employee relations, and the ability to build a positive and productive workplace culture. As an HR Manager at Centro Hotels, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the human resources function, from recruitment and training to employee engagement, compliance, attendance and leave management, and payroll processing. Your role will be instrumental in shaping our team and ensuring that Centro continues to be an exceptional place to work and grow.At Centro, we foster adynamic work environment akin to a startup , where flexibility, innovation, and continuous improvement are key. This fast-paced atmosphere may sometimes bephysically and mentally demanding , requiring the HR Manager to adapt quickly to evolving needs and challenges. The ability to manage high-pressure situations withpoise, efficiency, and empathyis critical to success in this role. Technical efficiencyis also essential. The HR Manager must be proficient inMicrosoft Excel, HR software, and other tools , using them to streamline processes, analyze data, and improve overall HR operations.Attention to detailis paramount, as the HR Manager will be responsible for ensuring accuracy across all HR tasks, from payroll to compliance management, while also fostering anempathetic approachto employee relations. Key Responsibilities:Recruitment & Staffing: Manage the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and screening candidates to conducting interviews and overseeing the hiring process. Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies tailored to the hospitality industry. Ensure the timely onboarding of new hires, conducting orientation sessions and ensuring a smooth transition into their roles. Build and maintain a talent pipeline for future staffing needs, particularly for key positions within the hotel. Training & Development: Develop and implement training programs that enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance in line with Centro’s standards. Coordinate with department heads to identify training needs and design workshops that address both technical skills and soft skills. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as needed to improve outcomes. Promote a culture of continuous learning and development throughout the organization. Employee Relations & Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations, addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, and ensuring a positive work environment. Foster a culture of open communication, respect, and collaboration across all departments. Lead employee engagement initiatives to promote job satisfaction, retention, and a strong sense of community within the hotel. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Handle employee matters withempathy , ensuring that employees feel heard and supported. Attendance & Leave Management: Oversee attendance tracking systems, ensuring accurate records of employee work hours, absenteeism, and tardiness. Manage the leave process, including vacation, sick leave, and other forms of leave, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. Coordinate with department heads to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained while accommodating leave requests. Payroll Processing: Manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, bonuses, and other compensation. Ensure all payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and other withholdings, are properly calculated and processed. Collaborate with the finance team to resolve any payroll discrepancies and maintain payroll compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Utilize Excel and HR softwareefficiently to maintain payroll accuracy and streamline the process. Performance Management: Oversee the performance management process, ensuring that employees are regularly evaluated and given feedback on their performance. Work closely with department heads to set clear performance goals and provide coaching and support to achieve them. Develop and implement recognition and reward programs to celebrate employee achievements and encourage high performance. Compliance & Policies:Ensure that the hotel complies with all labor laws, regulations, and health and safety standards. Regularly review and update HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and best practices. Maintain employee records, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and secure. Workplace Culture & Retention: Build and maintain a positive and inclusive workplace culture that reflects Centro’s values and commitment to excellence. Develop initiatives aimed at improving employee retention and job satisfaction. Lead diversity and inclusion efforts within the hotel, ensuring that the workplace is welcoming and supportive for all employees.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a senior HR role within the hospitality industry. Strong recruitment, training, and employee relations skills with a focus on creating a positive work environment. Experience in attendance and leave management, as well as payroll processing. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, HR software, and other management toolsis essential. Attention to detailand acommitment to accuracyin all HR-related tasks. Empathyand strong interpersonal skills to manage employee relations effectively. Ability to work effectively in afast-paced, dynamic environment , with flexibility to handlephysically and mentally demanding situations . Thorough knowledge of labor laws and regulations, with experience in compliance management. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
