Job Title- Inventory Control Specialist Location- Koregaon Park,Pune Key Responsibilities Inventory Controls & Reconciliation Monitor and reconcile inventory across sales channels: retail stores, marketplaces (Amazon, Myntra, etc.), and D2C website. Oversee stock movement accounting (inward, outward, returns, damages, inter-store transfers). Ensure accurate valuation of inventory including landed costs, GST, freight, and other overheads. Identify inventory discrepancies and coordinate with Operations & Merchandising to resolve issues. Accounts & Financial Management Manage vendor payments, reconciliations, and ensure timely settlement of dues. Reconcile sales data with payment gateways, POS systems, marketplace reports, and internal ERP. Prepare channel-wise P&L statements, margin analysis, and profitability reports. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, etc.) on inventory and vendor transactions. Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with the Buying team for procurement accounting and vendor reconciliations. Partner with Operations to streamline inventory inward/outward processes and minimize leakages. Collaborate with Retail and Merchandising teams to ensure accurate reporting of sales, returns, and stock levels. Coordinate with auditors for periodic stock audits and statutory audits. Reporting & Controls Prepare and publish regular MIS reports on inventory positions, slow-moving stock, and shrinkage. Support management with insights for decision-making on buying, replenishment, and stock allocation. Implement stronger financial and operational controls around inventory movement and sales reconciliation. Requirements Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. 2-3 years of experience in accounts (preferably semi qualified CA), with strong exposure to inventory control/reconciliation (retail/D2C/marketplace experience preferred). Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally, ERP Next systems) and advanced Excel. Good understanding of taxation and compliance (GST, TDS). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to coordinate across departments and work in a fast-paced environment.
