Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Team Leader to oversee a team of analysts supporting a leading UK Bank’s Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Lending operations. This role will manage day-to-day delivery, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and managing client’s UK stakeholders. The position demands strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of CRE lending, and proven ability to drive cross-border collaboration. Key Responsibilities Team Management & Delivery Lead and mentor analysts processing CRE loan applications, credit documentation, and portfolio management. Ensure delivery in line with SLAs/KPIs with a 98%+ right-first-time documentation accuracy. Track, review, and report team performance; conduct regular feedback and coaching. Operational Excellence Enforce adherence to AAF Lending Policy, Standards, and Lending Criteria. Review and approve credit papers/documentation prior to submission. Support the use of front-end systems to monitor loan applications through approval. Stakeholder Engagement Act as the single point of contact for client stakeholders in the UK. Manage escalations, provide operational updates, and lead process alignment discussions. Facilitate transparent, regular communication between India and UK teams. Compliance & Risk Oversee collaboration with KYC and Financial Crime teams for onboarding/fraud cases. Ensure compliance with UK banking regulations and client-specific policies. Process Improvement & Reporting Identify and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality. Prepare and present performance reports, dashboards, and insights for senior leadership. Training & Development Conduct training on UK CRE lending practices, compliance, and systems. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Ad Hoc Participate in UK stakeholder meetings as required. Handle special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned. Candidate Profile Education & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or financial services. Proven experience in leading teams and working with UK/international banking clients. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent knowledge of CRE lending, credit documentation, and compliance. Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills. High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability. Proficient in banking systems, reporting, and MS Office tools.
