Assurance Mid Engineer

Role - Netcool Admin /Assurance Mid Engineer Work Location - Bangalore & Pune Role purpose: A specialist assurance engineer with domain expertise in OSS specifically in fault and inventory management domain. The role demands prior experience of supporting & onboarding bespoke applications into strategic solutions. The Assurance Senior Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of IBM Tivoli Netcool suite of products and various web applications associated with it. This role involves assisting in the management and maintenance of these systems to support business operations and deliver high-quality service to customers. The engineer will work closely work with technical lead & vendor and support in ongoing projects. He/She will assist in performing periodic assessment of operational, application and platform health and report it to performance lead. He/She will be responsible for preparing change plan & seek approvals. Operates and ensures high availability of services, regularly maintain automation scripts, and support in optimizing existing working methods. He/She should provide input & support to technical lead in planning, and optimizing the OSS solution and driving effectiveness and efficiency through strategic harmonization and standardization activities. Core competencies, knowledge, and experience •Overall 5 + years of experience of working in project where Netcool was deployed. •Hands on experience on creating & administrating netcool probe rules, impact policies, omnibus triggers & procedure & gateway configurations, event list as per customer requirement •Good understanding of cloud & devops technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, Messagebus. •In-depth understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems and system administration. Strong understanding of snmp, syslog, API etc. •Sound knowledge of Sql, oracle databases & query language. •Experience of integrating interfacing applications (InfoVista, Remedy etc.)
