Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Title: Senior QA Engineer Location: Pune Experience Required: 3–4 Years Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, and performance testing tools like JMeter and LoadRunner. Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and Python, a strong understanding of databases, and exposure to AWS services are essential. This role requires ownership of the QA process end-to-end — from test planning and design to execution and reporting. Key Responsibilities: ● Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Playwright. ● Conduct comprehensive manual testing to validate functional and non-functional requirements. ● Plan and execute performance testing using JMeter and LoadRunner; analyze results and identify bottlenecks. ● Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality releases. ● Set up, manage, and maintain QA environments including cloud setups using AWS. ● Execute the full QA lifecycle: requirement analysis, test planning, test case design, execution, defect tracking, and reporting. ● Perform database validation and testing using SQL queries and data integrity checks. ● Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality. ● Mentor junior QA engineers and help improve test processes and practices. Required Skills and Qualifications: ● 3–4 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance. ● Strong expertise in manual testing and automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Playwright). ● Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter and LoadRunner. ● Proficient in Java, JavaScript, and Python for test scripting. ● Solid understanding of SQL and database concepts (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.). ● Exposure to AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.). ● Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions). ● Familiarity with defect tracking tools like Jira or similar. ● Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Nice to Have: ● Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker/Kubernetes). ● Experience with API testing tools like Postman or REST-assured. ● ISTQB or equivalent certification
