Job Title: Head of Projects – EPC (Chemical/Pharma/Biotech) Location: Pune Job Description We are hiring a Head of Projects for our client in EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction). This leadership role is responsible for driving the successful execution of EPC projects in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Biotech sectors. The ideal candidate will ensure end-to-end project delivery—covering engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning—within defined cost, quality, safety, and timeline parameters. This is a strategic and execution-focused position, requiring strong technical expertise, client engagement skills, and proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution Lead overall project lifecycle from concept, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning to handover. Ensure delivery of projects within budget, schedule, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements. Manage multiple projects, including revamps, expansions, and greenfield facilities. Serve as the key contact for clients, ensuring stakeholder alignment and satisfaction. Planning & Resource Management Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation across disciplines. Conduct regular project review meetings, progress tracking, and risk management. Collaborate with procurement and vendor teams for timely material and service delivery. Team Development & Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, engineers, and site teams. Foster a high-performance culture with focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Promote cross-functional collaboration across engineering, procurement, and construction teams. Commercial & Contract Management Participate in contract negotiations and vendor management. Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures. Support claim management and resolution of contractual issues. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (PMP certification preferred). 12–20 years of EPC project experience , with at least 5 years in a senior project leadership role. Proven track record in delivering medium to large-scale EPC projects in Chemical, Pharma, or Biotech sectors. Strong leadership, client-facing, and stakeholder management skills. Excellent ability to manage timelines, budgets, and multi-disciplinary teams.
