Technical & Design ResponsibilitiesOwn the complete design lifecycle: requirement analysis → concept design → detailed engineering → validation → production documentation.Create and approve 3D models, assemblies, detailed manufacturing drawings, and BOMs.Ensure designs meet performance parameters across:Ultrasonic cleaning technologyMechanical design of tanks, chambers, structures, piping, jigs & fixturesElectrical & instrumentation integrationSurface treatment process requirementsConduct design reviews with cross-functional teams.Ensure manufacturability (DFM), reliability, and safety (DFA, FMEA).Maintain a strong library of standard designs, modules, and sub-assemblies for reusability.B. Process & ProductivityEstablish and enforce design standards, templates, and quality guidelines.Define and streamline workflows within the Design Department.Introduce automation in repetitive design tasks where possible.Reduce design cycle time through modularization and standardization.Implement systematic document control and revision management.C. Cross-Functional CoordinationWork closely with:Sales for technical proposals and preliminary layoutsProject Execution for understanding customer requirementsProduction to resolve manufacturability issuesQC to ensure complianceProcurement for component optimization and vendor alignmentParticipate in customer meetings, technical discussions, and design clarifications.D. People ManagementLead, mentor, and develop the design engineering team.Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery.Conduct performance reviews and facilitate continuous skill development.Maintain a culture of precision, discipline, and engineering excellence.E. Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to reduce cost through design changes.Implement Kaizen, root-cause analysis, and value engineering practices.Benchmark Ralsonics’ products against global competitors and update designs accordingly.Drive innovation in new product development and system architecture.A. Required Technical Skill & CompetenciesBachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Mechatronics.Strong command over SolidWorks (mandatory), AutoCAD.Deep understanding of mechanical design, structural design, and sheet metal fabrication.Familiarity with:Ultrasonic technology (advantage)Pumping systems, filtration systems, pipingPLC/electrical integrationHeat transfer principlesExperience in design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).B. Managerial Skills5–12 years of experience in design engineering; minimum 2–3 years in a leadership role.Strong project management capabilities.Excellent communication skills—ability to explain technical topics clearly.High ownership, discipline, and problem-solving ability.C.
