Job Title: Design Manager – Interior Fit-Out & MEP ProjectsLocation: PuneExperience: 8-10 Years (Mid to Senior Level)Industry: Architecture / Interior Design / Project ManagementReports to: PMCM Lead / Project DirectorJob Summary:We are seeking a results-driven Design Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of interior fit-out and MEP projects. The ideal candidate will be the single point of contact for project execution, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery across multiple stakeholders including clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a key interface between the client, internal design teams, and subconsultants throughout the project lifecycle.Review RFPs and project requirements, identify key technical and scope considerations, and support the preparation of design-led responses.Work closely with internal design teams and subconsultants to ensure design intent, scope, and documentation are aligned with project requirements.Coordinate multidisciplinary design inputs and monitor progress to support timely issue of design deliverables.Conduct due diligence and review site conditions, constraints, and available information to inform design development.Support preparation and tracking of design programmes in line with project milestones, authority submissions, and client requirements.Liaise with MEP consultants, specialist consultants, and other subconsultants to ensure proper coordination and integration of design information.Review drawings, specifications, and consultant submissions to identify gaps, inconsistencies, clashes, and technical coordination issues.Track statutory submissions, design approvals, and consultant deliverables to ensure compliance with project timelines.Participate in design coordination meetings and communicate technical issues, actions, and status updates clearly to all stakeholders.Maintain design issue logs, track risks, and drive timely resolution of technical and coordination matters.When positioned on site, review technical deviations and construction deviations against the approved design intent and project requirements.Assess contractor and site queries, proposed deviations, and alternative solutions in coordination with the design team and relevant consultants.Provide design support during construction by clarifying intent, reviewing submittals related to design changes, and helping resolve technical coordination issues.Support project closeout through final design reviews, consultant closeout inputs, and completion of required documentation.Skills & Tools:Must Have:MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint (error-free reporting)MS Project – scheduling expertiseAutoCAD reading and interpretationClear verbal and written communicationGFC (Interior & MEP) drawing comprehensionLeadership, issue resolution, and stakeholder coordinationGood to Have:Knowledge of major contract typesCost variation and procurement liaison experienceSoft Skills:Strong stewardship and team alignment skillsHigh emotional intelligence and resilienceSituational awareness and optimistic mindsetSelf-motivated and able to mentor junior team membersEducational Qualifications:Must Have:Diploma in Interior Design with execution experience ORDegree in Engineering / Architecture with execution experienceGood to Have:Master’s in Project Management or industry certifications (e.g., PMP)Why Join Us:Opportunity to lead high-impact workplace transformation projectsCollaborative environment with cross-functional teamsCareer progression and learning in an international design-build setting
