Retail Store DesignerRole PurposeTo lead and govern the end-to-end retail store design for Palmonas, ensuring design excellence, brand consistency cost efficiency and seamless execution from concept to handover for all new stores and renovations.Areas of ResponsibilityOwn the responsibility for the annual and quarterly retail store design plan for the assigned locations.Develop, review, and finalize store layouts including zoning, customer flow, display planning, RCP, electrical coordination, and façade design.Lead design presentations and obtain internal sign-offs for concept, layout, finishes, and detailing.Evaluate technical feasibility of new store sites and renovation projects from a design and execution perspective.Prepare and review detailed drawings: layout plans, joinery details, display details, RCP, flooring patterns, façade details, and material specifications.Ensure correct interpretation of brand design guidelines across all stores with consistency in look and feel.Coordinate with MEP consultants, vendors, and project managers to ensure design intent is maintained at site.Support sourcing and finalization of materials, finishes, fixtures, lighting, and display hardware suitable for jewellery retail.Review BOQs and cost estimates to ensure value engineering without compromising design intent.Work closely with external architects, fabricators, and visual merchandising teams for design execution.Conduct periodic site visits to monitor design implementation and quality of finishes.Provide practical, cost-effective, and maintenance-friendly design solutions suitable for retail operations.Collaborate with Project Managers during execution for all décor, display, and design-related elements.Maintain a design library of materials, finishes, and standard details for repeatable store rollouts.Ensure projects are delivered in line with timelines, budgets, and Palmonas quality standards.Provide constructive inputs to the Head of Design for continuous improvement of store aesthetics and functionality.Stakeholder Interactions (Within the Organization)Projects & Execution TeamVisual Merchandising TeamOperations TeamProcurement & Vendor ManagementMarketing & Branding TeamExternal Architects, Consultants, and VendorsQualificationsBachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Architecture.3+ years of experience in retail store design (jewellery / fashion / premium retail preferred)
