Furniture Designer

Job Overview We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Furniture Designer to conceptualise, design, and develop innovative furniture pieces that blend functionality, aesthetics, and durability. The role involves working closely with product, production, and marketing teams to bring unique designs to market, aligned with brand vision and customer needs. Key Responsibilities Conceptualise and design furniture collections in line with market trends, brand identity, and customer preferences. Create detailed drawings, 3D models, and prototypes using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, SolidWorks). Select appropriate materials, finishes, and fabrics while considering cost, durability, and sustainability. Collaborate with production teams to ensure design feasibility, quality, and timely execution. Research global and local design trends, consumer insights, and competitor products for innovation. Develop technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing. Oversee prototype development, testing, and adjustments before mass production. Work with marketing teams to provide inputs on product features and storytelling for launches. Ensure compliance with safety, ergonomics, and sustainability standards. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field. Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Furniture Designer or in product design. Proficiency in design tools: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite. Strong knowledge of furniture construction, materials, and manufacturing processes. Creativity with an eye for detail, form, and functionality. Strong visualization and presentation skills. Ability to balance innovation with cost-effectiveness.
