Job Description:
The Assistant Warehouse Manager will support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and accurate handling of inventory, dispatches, and receipts. This role requires hands-on experience in warehouse management systems, people management, and process improvement to support The Sleep Company’s commitment to quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:1. Warehouse Operations Management- Supervise inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely receipt and dispatch of goods. - Monitor daily warehouse activities, including material handling, storage, and stock accuracy. - Maintain compliance with safety and housekeeping standards across the warehouse.2. Inventory Control- Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and system reconciliations. - Coordinate with the supply chain and production teams to maintain optimal stock levels. - Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies proactively.3. People & Process Management- Lead and train warehouse staff to ensure adherence to company SOPs and productivity goals. - Support workforce planning, including shift scheduling and manpower deployment. - Drive continuous improvement in processes to enhance warehouse efficiency.4. Systems & Reporting- Work on ERP/WMS systems for inventory tracking, GRN, dispatch, and stock management. - Prepare and share periodic reports on warehouse performance metrics (TAT, accuracy, shrinkage, etc.). - Support audits and compliance requirements.5. Coordination & Communication- Collaborate with logistics, production, and customer service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment. - Address and resolve operational bottlenecks or escalations promptly.Requirements:- Graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred). - 4–7 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or e-commerce. - Experience with ERP/WMS systems (SAP/S4HANA experience preferred). - Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills. - Hands-on experience in handling dispatch planning, inventory accuracy, and manpower management.
