Lead Engineer ( Mechanical Design, QA-Welding)

Role Description We are seeking a motivated and technically strong candidate to take a  Lead role  in  2D/3D Design, QA/QC, Welding Coordination, Production tracking and Customer communication  at Sonish, Goa, ensuring smooth execution of projects from enquiry to delivery. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review 2D/3D drawings  (AutoCAD/Fusion 360), BOMs, and technical documentation. Interpret customer specifications, ASME/ISO welding symbols & standards , and ensure compliance. QA/QC activities  – WPS/PQR, ITPs, weld maps, material traceability, inspection reports - Guide and mentor junior QC. Coordinate with production, purchase, QC, vendors and company management  to track progress and resolve bottlenecks. Lead bi-weekly production meetings  and update schedules and customer reports. Handle First Article (FA) inspections  – documentation and approvals. Investigate customer complaints/NCRs , conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions. Experience  Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
