VACANCY FOR Design Engineer (Rubber Molds & Parts) Company Description:Revata Engineering is an established engineering and manufacturing company based in M.I.D.C., Bhosari, Pune. The company specializes in engineered speciality rubber components for industrial applications. This position is for the Elastomer Solutions Department and involves close interaction with production, tool room, and quality teams to develop robust, manufacturable rubber components and molds. Role Description:Revata Engineering is seeking a technically strong Design Engineer – Rubber Molds & Parts with hands-on experience in rubber part design and mold/tool design. This is not a generic CAD/CAM role. The position requires expertise in designing elastomer components and compression, transfer, and injection molds, along with Moldflow analysis to optimize manufacturability, shrinkage control, gating, venting, cooling, and cycle time. The role demands strong collaboration with shop-floor teams, tool room, quality, procurement, and external vendors to convert customer requirements into manufacturable tooling and production-ready components. Key Responsibilities:• Design rubber parts, components, and tooling for industrial applications.• Develop compression, transfer, and injection molds for elastomer products.• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, GD&T specifications, and manufacturing documentation.• Perform Moldflow / mold flow analysis to optimize gating, venting, shrinkage control, cooling, cycle time, and defect reduction.• Review customer drawings and technical specifications and convert them into manufacturable tooling and part designs.• Apply DFM principles for elastomer molding processes.• Support new product development, prototyping, mold trials, and engineering changes.• Drive mold corrections and design improvements based on trial and production feedback.• Troubleshoot tooling and design-related issues during development and serial production.• Coordinate with production, tool room, quality, procurement, and vendors for smooth execution.• Maintain engineering drawings, revisions, and design records in a controlled manner. Required Skill Set:• Strong proficiency in CATIA and SolidWorks.• Working knowledge of Moldflow / Mold Flow Analysis.• Practical experience in compression, transfer, and injection mold design for rubber components.• Strong grasp of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturability principles.• Ability to interpret and convert customer drawings into production-ready tooling.• Experience working closely with tool room and shop-floor teams.• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical documentation skills. Good-to-Have:•Experience designing elastomer components such as seals, gaskets, O-rings, bushes, diaphragms, anti-vibration parts, or custom molded components.• Exposure to tool trials, mold validation, and production ramp-up support.• Knowledge of industry standards related to rubber components.• Experience handling engineering change management and revision control systems. Qualifications:• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Tool, Production, Polymer Engineering, or related discipline.• Strong proficiency in CATIA and SolidWorks; working knowledge of Moldflow / Mold Flow Analysis is mandatory.• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in mold design, tool design, or rubber product design in a manufacturing environment.• Practical understanding of rubber materials, molding behavior, curing, shrinkage control, and compression/transfer/injection mold design.• Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFM principles, and ability to coordinate effectively with production, tool room, and vendors. Location: M.I.D.C., Bhosari, Pune – 411026 Office Timings: Monday - Saturday (8:30 AM to 5:30 PM) Renumeration: CTC will be as per industry standard. Interested candidates, please email your resume to . PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE COMPANY MAINLINE AS NO RECRUITMENT-RELATED CALLS WILL BE ENTERTAINED.
