Job Title: Databricks SQL Engineer with Commercial Pharma Location: Remote (Offshore)Type: ContractAbout the Role:We are looking for a Databricks SQL Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Databricks SQL. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SQL, performance tuning, data modeling, and cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Key Responsibilities:Develop and optimize SQL queries and notebooks in Databricks for data transformation, aggregation, and analysis.Optimize Databricks SQL workloads for performance, cost, and scalability.Monitor, debug, and troubleshoot Databricks SQL queries and jobs.Required Qualifications:4+ years of experience with SQL development and query optimization.Strong expertise in Databricks SQL, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse architectures.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), preferably Azure Databricks or AWS Databricks.Understanding of performance tuning, caching strategies, and query optimization in Databricks.Familiarity with ETL/ELT frameworks, Data Warehousing, and BI tools.Hands-on experience with Databricks Notebooks, Databricks Workflows, and Delta Live Tables.Ability to work with large-scale datasets and distributed computing.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with SQL for data processing.Knowledge of Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
