Our mission is to empower firms and their leaders by providing capital, operational support, technology, and strategic guidance to help them scale while preserving their independence and culture.Position OverviewWe are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist based in India to manage US payroll and related functions across multiple clients and platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of US payroll processes, compliance, and employee benefits, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess US payrolls (weekly, biweekly, monthly) for multiple clients across various payroll platformsReview payroll data for accuracy, including earnings, deductions, and federal/state tax withholdingsMaintain employee records and manage payroll-related updates and adjustmentsMonitor payroll tax liabilities and support timely US payroll tax filings and paymentsApply for payroll tax accounts (EIN, state registrations) for new clients/entitiesManage 401(k) contributions and ensure timely remittancePrepare and manage workers’ compensation reportingAdminister employee benefits, including enrollments and changesLead employee onboarding processes end-to-end for US employeesSupport annual audits and benefit reconciliation processesRespond to client and employee payroll-related inquiries with a high level of professionalismQualifications5+ years of progressive experience in US payroll management and administrationExperience working with multiple clients or entities (CA firms, BPOs, or payroll service providers preferred)Strong working knowledge of US payroll tax regulations, compliance, and benefit deductionsHands-on experience with payroll systems such as Paychex, Intuit, or similarStrong attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlinesExcellent communication skills (written and verbal) with US stakeholdersAbility to work in overlapping US time zones when requiredCompensation & BenefitsCompensation for this role is aligned with Indian market rates and is based on experience and expertise.
