Senior Accountant

Position: Accounts ExecutiveLocation: Panaji, GoaReports To: Accounts ManagerJob Summary:The Accounts Executive will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Navtara’s growing restaurant chain. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing day-to-day accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in restaurant accounting, be proficient in POSist and Tally software, and possess a strong understanding of financial management in a multi-location setup.Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including daily sales reports, expense tracking, and bank reconciliations. • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes ensuring timely payments and collections. • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow). • Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll regulations. • Oversee the accurate processing of POS data and reconciliation of sales with financial records. • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with the Accounts Manager. • Manage cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting. • Monitor food cost, delivery commissions, and packaging expenses specific to the restaurant industry. • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filings. • Support financial audits and collaborate with external auditors. • Provide financial insights and reports to senior management for informed decision-making. • Collaborate with the operations team to maintain financial accuracy across all outlets. • Assist in implementing new accounting policies and procedures as required. • Work closely with the Accounts Manager to streamline financial processes and ensure timely reporting.Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry. • Experience working with Tally and POSist software (or similar restaurant POS systems). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in handling multi-location financial operations. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.Preferred: • Experience in handling finances for restaurant chains or similar multi-outlet businesses. • Familiarity with managing restaurant-specific costs like food expenses, delivery commissions, and packaging.Why Navtara? • Be part of a dynamic and fast-growing restaurant chain in Goa. • Opportunity to manage financial operations across multiple locations and play a key role in driving financial success. • Competitive salary and growth opportunities within the company.
