The company delivers advanced, innovative solutions to top OEMs and Tier 1 partners worldwide.Role OverviewThe Head of Sales – India is responsible for defining, leading, and executing the commercial strategy for the Indian market. This role focuses on expanding business with major OEMs, securing long-term partnerships, driving profitable growth, and strengthening the company’s presence in one of the world’s most dynamic automotive markets.The position requires a senior commercial leader with strong industry knowledge, proven negotiation capabilities, and the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.Geographical ScopeIndia Region — with strategic focus on major OEMs, particularly key existing partnerships and expansion opportunities.Key Responsibilities1. Commercial Strategy & Market LeadershipDefine and execute the Indian commercial strategy in alignment with regional and global business objectives.Drive market penetration efforts, identify high-potential growth opportunities, and build scalable revenue pipelines.Conduct market, customer, and competitor analyses to support informed strategic and commercial decisions.Maintain accurate sales plans, forecasts, and data for all Indian customers to support budgeting and mid-term planning.2. Customer Management & Business DevelopmentServe as the senior commercial interface for major India-based OEMs and Tier 1 customers, with particular emphasis on a key strategic OEM partner.Build and nurture long-term executive-level customer relationships.Lead major commercial negotiations, ensuring profitable, competitive, and customer-centric outcomes.Drive new business acquisition, secure long-term partnerships, and support program nominations to fuel sustainable growth.3. Operational Alignment & Internal LeadershipCollaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Program Management, Industrial Strategy, and Finance to deliver integrated customer proposals.Provide market insights and commercial intelligence to support portfolio decisions and improve forecasting accuracy.Ensure strong alignment between India sales execution and broader corporate priorities.As the business scales, lead and grow the India commercial team: develop hiring plans, oversee recruitment, onboard new talent, and guide team competency development.4. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional EngagementRepresent the India region in key commercial discussions with the India Managing Director and global corporate leadership.Engage regional and global functional partners to ensure consistent commercial governance and business performance.Contribute to operational reviews, budget cycles, and customer program strategy formulation.Support strategic decision-making through thorough evaluation of market dynamics and customer needs.
