Generative AI Engineer

About us: hiringplug™ is building an AI-first variant of its HR technology platform using enterprise-grade multi-agent GenAI workflows to automate real hiring operations. Currently in beta stage.We are hiring a hands-on AI Developer / Generative AI Engineer to design and build multi-agent AI systems and RAG-driven workflows used in commercial production. This is a core Individual contributor role with direct ownership and close collaboration with the founder.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and implement multi-agent AI systems (planner, executor, critic, retriever patterns).Build end-to-end RAG pipelines: ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, grounding.Implement MongoDB Vector Search for semantic retrieval.Develop production-grade prompt engineering strategies (role prompts, memory, guardrails).Integrate and optimize multiple LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).Build scalable backend APIs using Python.Work with PostgreSQL for core application data and MongoDB for document/vector storage.Deploy and maintain AI systems in Linux-based production environments.REQUIREMENTS/ ELIGIBILITY: A. Must-Have Skills2–5 years of commercial AI / backend development experience.Strong Python skills and hands-on RAG implementation experience in production.Experience with MongoDB (including vector search).Working knowledge of PostgreSQL.Strong prompt engineering experience beyond basic prompting.Experience designing or implementing multi-agent AI workflows.Solid fundamentals in software engineering, Architecture and system design.B. Good to HavePrior Startup experience with ownership of production systems.Exposure to NLP libraries (Hugging Face, SpaCy, NLTK).Cloud hosting experience (AWS / GCP / Azure).HR Tech or Enterprise SaaS product background.Product and UX awareness in AI systems.C. Preferred CandidatesImmediate / early joiners.Based in Delhi / NCR (or open to hybrid).Have shipped AI systems used by real users.Comfortable working in fast-moving, small sized startup environments.If this is you, Let's talk!
