Job Description:
We are looking for an experiencedApplication Support Engineerwith strong knowledge ofProgress OpenEdge (ABL/4GL) . The role involves providingproduction support, issue resolution, monitoring, and minor enhancementsfor business-critical applications. The candidate should be proactive in handling incidents, ensuring application stability, and working closely with users and development teams.Shift Timings - 8 pm to 4 am ISTKey Responsibilities • ProvideL2/L3 supportfor applications built onProgress OpenEdge . • Monitor application performance and ensure system availability. • Analyze and resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within SLAs. • Performroot cause analysisand implement long-term fixes to recurring issues. • Handle batch processes, jobs, and scheduled tasks. • Coordinate with development teams for bug fixes, enhancements, and release deployments. • Support application upgrades, patches, and migration activities. • Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.Required Skills & Experience • Strong hands-on experience withProgress OpenEdge (ABL/4GL)in asupport environment . • Good understanding ofProgress Databaseconcepts and performance troubleshooting. • Experience inincident management, problem management, and change management . • Familiarity withUNIX/Linuxcommands and scripting. • Exposure toticketing tools(ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy, etc.). • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.Good to Have • Knowledge ofintegration with APIs/web services . • Experience in working withglobal support models • Basic knowledge ofSDLC / Agile methodologies
