Senior Accountant

Job summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day accounting operations at the Head Office, ensuring accurate financial records, statutory compliance, and timely reporting. The role includes supervising the accounts team, coordinating audits, and supporting management with financial analysis and control.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily accounting activities including bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and reconciliations.Manage and supervise Accounts Executives at the Head Office (HO).Review and verify vouchers, invoices, and supporting documents prepared by the accounts team.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow.Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, and other applicable regulations.Coordinate internal and external audits and handle audit queries.Monitor expenses, budgets, and cost controls to improve financial efficiency.Ensure accurate and timely filing of statutory returns.Work closely with management to provide financial analysis and decision-support inputs.Qualifications & Requirements or .qualification, preferably with retail industry experience.Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and finance.Strong working knowledge of accounting software (Tally or similar ERP systems).Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.Strong leadership, coordination, and team-management skills.Candidates for this role will be considered from Palakkad only.Interested and eligible candidates may send their CV to hr@
