Role Description — Metal Casting Expert (Factory Role) This is a full-time on-site role for a Metal Casting Expert at Curio Group’s Noida manufacturing facility . The Metal Casting Expert will be responsible for managing and executing the entire metal casting process , from mold preparation and melting operations to finishing and quality inspection . The role requires deep technical knowledge, hands-on experience in foundry operations , and the ability to ensure consistent product quality for high-end home décor and giftware items. Key Responsibilities Oversee the end-to-end metal casting process — from mold design to finishing Supervise melting, pouring, and cooling operations while ensuring optimal temperatures and safety standards Conduct quality checks to detect casting defects and ensure precision Collaborate with production, design, and finishing teams to achieve product design goals Implement process improvements for better efficiency, surface finish, and waste reduction Maintain equipment, tools, and molds , ensuring readiness for production Train and guide junior technicians and workers in casting operations Maintain records and reports related to production, quality, and safety Qualifications Proven expertise in metal casting techniques (e.g., sand casting, die casting, or gravity casting) Strong knowledge of melting furnaces, mold materials, and metal alloys (brass, aluminum, iron, etc.) Experience in quality control and defect analysis Ability to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions Understanding of factory safety standards and compliance Leadership and mentoring skills for managing a shop-floor team Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science Prior experience in home décor, handicrafts, or metal manufacturing industry is preferred
