Amity School of Film & Drama (ASFD) Amity University, Noida Campus invites applications for Production Assistant Job Profile: Production Assistant (with Video Editing Skills) Position: Production Assistant Experience Required: 3–5 years in Filmmaking Production Location: Noida Department: Film/Media/Production About the Role A young, dynamic, and skilled Production Assistant with hands-on experience in film and video production (3–5 years) and a strong understanding of video editing workflows . The ideal candidate will support both faculty and students in their creative projects, ensuring smooth production processes and guiding them with industry-standard practices. This role requires someone who is both technically proficient and collaborative, capable of juggling multiple responsibilities across pre-production, production, and post-production phases. Key Responsibilities Assist faculty and students in executing film and video projects, from planning to final delivery. Support on-set activities, including logistics, equipment handling, scheduling, and coordination. Should be able to provide technical guidance on camera operations, lighting, and sound setup. Help manage and maintain production equipment, ensure availability and functionality. Offer video editing support using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve). Guide students in basic editing techniques, media management, and storytelling through visuals. Troubleshot technical issues during production and post-production. Ensure productions follow timelines and maintain quality standards. Collaborate with faculty to design practical learning experiences for students Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of filmmaking production workflows. Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve). Hands-on experience with cameras, audio equipment, and lighting. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Physically fit to handle the rigours of Film Production and related intensive jobs. Self-starter, and the ability to work with little supervision. Strong communication and mentoring ability for working with students. Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Flexibility to adapt to varying production needs and schedules. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3–5 years of professional experience in film/video production. Proven track record in assisting with film shoots and editing projects. Prior experience in an academic or training environment is a plus.
