We are currently unable to accommodate more senior-level applicants.Role OverviewWe are seeking a Technical LMS Developer to support our learning platform and backend infrastructure. This role is ideal for a /"builder/" who enjoys shaping learning experiences through Moodle course architecture while possessing the technical depth to extend the platform using Node.js and TypeScript.Key ResponsibilitiesMoodle Engineering: Build and structure courses and learning paths. Customise the LMS through plugins, themes, and Web Services/REST APIs.Backend Development: Develop and maintain server-side services using Node.js and TypeScript. Build and optimize RESTful APIs.Data & Integration: Manage platform data across NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational databases. Integrate Moodle with external marketplace systems.Maintenance: Troubleshoot LMS issues, improve UX, and support deployments via CI/CD pipelines (AWS).Role ExpectationsTechnical SkillsCombined professional experience in backend engineering and Moodle development.Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and REST APIs.Hands-on experience with MongoDB and SQL-based relational databases.Proven ability in Moodle course building and technical customizations (plugins/hooks).Familiarity with AWS and modern deployment workflows.MindsetA builder who balances technical engineering with instructional design.Comfortable owning the LMS environment while contributing to core backend architecture.Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
