Senior MongoDB DBA / Lead MongoDB AdministratorCompany: FintechLocation: Noida – 5 Days Work From Office (WFO)Experience:10+ YearsEducation : BtechRole PurposeWe are looking for a highly experienced MongoDB DBA to own and manage mission-critical, high-scale MongoDB environments. This role is core to ensuring database availability, performance, scalability, and security for fintech-grade systems handling large transaction volumes.Key Responsibilities- Own end-to-end administration of MongoDB databases in production - Design, deploy, and manage Replica Sets & Sharded Clusters - Ensure high availability, backup, recovery, and DR readiness - Perform advanced performance tuning (queries, indexing, storage) - Plan and execute MongoDB upgrades, migrations, and patching - Implement security best practices (RBAC, encryption, auditing) - Proactively monitor DB health and troubleshoot production issues - Collaborate with backend, platform, infra, and SRE teams - Drive capacity planning and server sizing based on growth needs - Automate routine DBA tasks using Python / Bash / Shell scriptingMust-Have Skills- 10+ years overall experience with strong MongoDB DBA ownership - Deep expertise in MongoDB architecture, internals, sharding & replication - Hands-on production experience with large-scale databases - Strong knowledge of backup & recovery strategies - Linux system administration experience - Performance troubleshooting in high-throughput environments - Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skillsGood to Have- Experience with MongoDB Atlas - Exposure to AWS / Cloud infrastructure - Knowledge of Kubernetes / containerized environments - Experience in fintech/payments / BFSI ecosystems - Exposure to other NoSQL systems (Redis, Cassandra)Work Environment- 5 days work from office – Noida - Fast-paced, ownership-driven engineering culture - High impact role with real production responsibility
