Since its inception in 1999, Times Internet has led the Internet revolution in India and has emerged as India's foremost web entity, running diverse portals and niche websites.About the Business Unit: System & Network Admin: IT service provider to all the business within Times internet.Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python and modern frameworks like Flask or FastAPI, along with experience in Kubernetes-based deployments. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience building, scaling, and optimizing backend services in cloud or on-prem environments.Role and Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Python (Flask/FastAPI). Work with relational and time-series databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB). Implement efficient, secure, and scalable server-side logic. Deploy, monitor, and manage microservices on Kubernetes and Docker. Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions. Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to best practices. Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for backend services. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner. Stay updated on the latest backend technologies, frameworks, and cloud-native tools.Requirements: 5–7 years of hands-on experience in backend development. Strong programming skills in Python with experience in Flask or FastAPI. Knowledge of REST API design, authentication, and security best practices. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and caching systems (Redis, Memcached). Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and container registries. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.Good to have: Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Familiarity with message queues / streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS). Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). Exposure to security best practices in distributed systems.
