Job Description – Fitness Manager (WTF Gyms) Position Overview The Fitness Manager will be responsible for overseeing all fitness-related operations across assigned WTF Gyms. This role ensures smooth day-to-day functioning of personal training (PT), group classes, and overall member engagement while driving revenue growth through PT sales. The Fitness Manager acts as a bridge between trainers, members, and senior management, ensuring high service standards, staff performance, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities 1. PT Revenue & Business Growth Drive personal training (PT) sales targets across all trainers in the gym. Plan and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual PT revenue goals in alignment with company targets. Ensure trial-to-conversion tracking for PT and close sales gaps through intervention. Conduct periodic sales huddles with trainers to align them with revenue goals. 2. Team Leadership & Staff Management Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of fitness trainers. Monitor trainers’ attendance, grooming, and adherence to WTF Gym SOPs. Handle trainer hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews in coordination with HR. Create and execute training programs to upgrade trainer skills (anatomy, exercise science, client handling, sales techniques). 3. Member Engagement & Retention Oversee member onboarding sessions, fitness assessments, and trial workouts. Monitor the quality of PT sessions and overall client satisfaction. Implement retention strategies like follow-up calls, fitness challenges, and member progress tracking . Handle escalations and resolve member complaints related to PT services. 4. Operational Excellence Conduct regular audits of PT sessions, trial sessions, and workout floor engagement. Ensure safety standards and correct form demonstration across all workout areas. Oversee scheduling of PT sessions and trainers’ availability to maximize utilization. Maintain accurate reports on PT revenue, trainer performance, and member feedback . 5. Reporting & Coordination Submit weekly and monthly reports on PT performance, revenue, and trainer activity to the Regional Fitness Head. Coordinate with Front Desk & Sales Teams for PT package pitching and follow-up. Work closely with Cluster Managers and Regional Manager – Fitness Operations & PT to bridge gaps and ensure consistency across branches. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of exercise science, anatomy, and nutrition. Proven track record in PT sales and fitness operations management. Leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to analyze performance reports and take corrective actions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or certification in fitness (ACE, NASM, ISSA, ACSM, or equivalent). 3–5 years of experience in managing fitness operations or PT teams. Prior experience in a large-format gym or fitness chain preferred. Growth Path Fitness Manager → Regional Manager – Fitness Operations & PT → National Head – Fitness Operations.
