Principal Engineer - BridgesExperience - 10-15 YearsUndertake assessment of existing bridges and preparing assessment reports having assessment/design experience in Steel Composite,Pretension / Posttension structures• Carry out feasibility studies for strengthening and repair.• Prepare new bridge design and strengthening design to UK standards ensuring compliance withappropriate design and health and safety standards and WSP WoW procedures• Carry out design and assessment checks (Cat II or Cat III)Preliminary and detailed design of bridges,culverts and ancillary structuresAssessment of bridges, canopies, sheds, signalgantries, portals etc• Prepare or assist others in compiling drawings, specifications, reports and correspondencewithin given deadlines including checking compliance with the project briefFollow QA, document control, archiving & CDM guidelines on all work• Ensure the correct implementation of document control and QA processes are followed forissue and filing / archiving of all work carried out• Produce work to specified WSP design standards, suggest revisions to standards asappropriate ensure all relevant standards and guides are used in accordance with UK Designstandards and WSP QA processes (WoW)• Ensure compliance with AIP or other project requirements• Use WSP calculation templates and ensure calculation sheets comply with WSP standards• Use WSP Technical library and Information systems to assist design work• Ensure only latest version (unless specifically required by AIP) of British and EuropeanStandards are usedContinually strive to develop and increase skills in MIDAS, LUSAS, Superstress, SAM, ARCHIEShare knowledge with immediate colleagues and the rest of the iCRC• Participate in team meetings and learning sessions to disseminate information within the team,and communicate with other teams in WSP• Continually strive for a 'First Time Right' culture - learn from own and other's mistakes to avoidrepetitionand other computer aided design softwareProactive team worker and self-motivatedlearner to adapt to the requirements of thejob/role.Location- Noida/BengaluruMandatory SkillsBridge Design, Eurocodes, UK CEngDesirable SkillsBridge Design, Eurocodes, UK CEng
