Juniper Mist Engineer

A Juniper Mist Wireless Engineer is responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing wireless networks using Juniper’s Mist AI-driven platform. This role combines deep technical expertise in wireless networking with the ability to leverage AI tools for proactive network assurance and automation. Key Responsibilities · Network Deployment & Configuration: Implement and configure Mist wireless solutions, including Wi-Fi 6/6E access points, Mist Edge, and integration with Juniper EX switches. · AI-Driven Operations: Utilize Mist’s Marvis AI to monitor network performance, automate troubleshooting, and proactively resolve issues. · Performance Optimization: Conduct RF planning and tuning, manage channel assignments, and ensure optimal wireless coverage and capacity. · Security Management: Implement wireless security protocols such as WPA2/3, 802.1X, and RADIUS, ensuring compliance with organizational policies. · Collaboration & Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT support and engineering, to address network issues and implement enhancements. · Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and performance metrics. Required Skills & Qualifications · Technical Expertise: Proficiency in wireless networking concepts, including 802.11 standards, RF fundamentals, and WLAN lifecycle management. · Juniper Mist Experience: Hands-on experience with Juniper Mist AI platform, including configuration and management of wireless networks. · Certifications: Relevant certifications such as JNCIS-MistAI-Wireless or JNCIA-MistAI are highly desirable . · Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze network performance data and make informed decisions to enhance network efficiency. · Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
