Pattern Making Assistant Professor

Position: Assistant Professor – Pattern Making Department: Fashion Design / School of Fashion & Design Location: Noida Sec 5 Key Responsibilities: Teach courses related to Pattern Making, Draping, Garment Construction, and CAD to fashion design students. Develop lesson plans, course materials, and practical projects that align with industry standards. Conduct classroom and studio sessions, practical demonstrations, and workshops. Guide students in portfolio development, design projects, and final collections. Mentor students on research, internships, and career development. Stay updated with current trends in pattern technology, garment production, and fashion innovations. Contribute to curriculum design and continuous improvement of teaching methods. Participate in academic administration, student evaluation, and departmental activities. Collaborate with industry experts for guest lectures, seminars, and collaborative projects. Engage in research, publications, and knowledge-sharing within the field of fashion design. Qualifications & Skills: Master’s Degree in Fashion Design / Pattern Making / Garment Technology from a recognized institution (Ph.D. preferred for higher positions). Strong academic background with specialization in Pattern Making, Draping, Garment Construction, and Apparel CAD Software (e.g., Lectra, Gerber, Optitex, Tukatech) . Minimum (2–5 years) of teaching and/or industry experience in pattern making and garment development. Ability to demonstrate technical expertise and innovative teaching practices. Excellent communication, mentoring, and organizational skills. Strong research orientation and ability to publish in reputed journals (preferred).
