The role involves identifying, coordinating, and managing guests for digital shows, interviews, and podcast formats. The ideal candidate should have strong networks across media, policy, business, entertainment, and subject-matter experts, along with the ability to coordinate efficiently in a fast-paced newsroom environment.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and curate relevant guests, experts, and commentators for digital video shows, interviews, panel discussions, and podcasts. Build and maintain a strong database of experts, policymakers, journalists, influencers, and industry leaders. Coordinate with editorial, production, and video teams to align guests with content themes and show formats. Reach out to guests, manage invitations, confirmations, and schedules for recordings. Ensure smooth guest onboarding and briefing before interviews or podcast recordings. Manage guest logistics, including virtual connections, studio coordination, and recording timelines. Maintain strong relationships with PR agencies, publicists, and institutional communication teams. Track trending topics and recommend relevant voices for breaking or topical discussions. Ensure timely follow-ups and confirmations to support daily editorial output.Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong networking and relationship management skills. Excellent communication and coordination abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced digital newsroom environment. Good understanding of current affairs, politics, business, technology, and culture. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Experience in managing high-profile guests and subject-matter experts.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, or a related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience in guest coordination, editorial production, media relations, or similar roles in news, digital media, podcasts, or broadcast media.Preferred BackgroundCandidates from news organisations, digital media platforms, podcast networks or broadcast television will be preferred.
