The role ensures high availability, performance, and security of VDI platforms used by end users across the organization.Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and manage VDI environments (Citrix, VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop, etc.). - Maintain and optimize VDI images, golden images, and master templates. - Perform VDI provisioning, capacity planning, and performance tuning. - Manage user profiles, policies, and workspace configurations. - Troubleshoot VDI-related issues including connectivity, authentication, and performance. - Work with network, storage, and security teams to ensure smooth integration of VDI components. - Implement and maintain monitoring tools for VDI environment health and performance. - Ensure compliance with security standards, patching, and updates within VDI environments. - Create documentation for builds, standards, troubleshooting steps, and operational processes. - Provide L2/L3 support for escalated VDI incidents and change requests.Required Skills & Experience- Strong experience with Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktops, VMware Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop. - Hands‑on experience with Citrix Studio, Director, PVS/MCS, Horizon Connection Servers, UAG, or AVD Host Pools. - Knowledge of Windows OS, Group Policies, Active Directory, FSLogix. - Understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and storage concepts. - Experience with VDI performance monitoring and log analysis. - Scripting knowledge (PowerShell preferred).Preferred Qualifications- Relevant certifications (Citrix CCA/V, VMware VCP-DTM, Microsoft AVD/MD-102). - Experience with multi‑site and enterprise‑scale VDI deployments. - Knowledge of cloud environments (Azure, AWS).2. This includes planning, testing, deploying, verifying, and reporting patch compliance for desktops, laptops, and VDI systems.Key Responsibilities- Manage and execute OS and application patching across the enterprise following defined schedules. - Use patching tools such as SCCM/MECM, Intune, WSUS, or Tanium for deployment and compliance reporting. - Perform pre‑deployment testing and validation of patches to minimize user impact. - Maintain patch baselines, compliance levels, and remediation workflows. - Troubleshoot patch deployment issues and coordinate fixes with stakeholders. - Collaborate with security teams on vulnerability reports and remediation timelines. - Generate detailed compliance reports and dashboards for leadership. - Ensure patching activities meet IT security, compliance, and audit requirements. - Automate patching tasks using scripting (PowerShell preferred). - Support emergency/zero-day patch deployments as needed.Required Skills & Experience- Hands-on experience with MECM/SCCM, Intune, WSUS, Tanium, or equivalent patching tools. - Strong understanding of Windows OS, application updates, and security patch frameworks. - Experience with end‑user device management in enterprise environments. - Good troubleshooting skills for patch failures, installation errors, and compliance gaps. - Familiarity with vulnerability management tools (Qualys, Nessus, etc.). - Strong reporting and documentation skills.Preferred Qualifications- Microsoft certifications (MD-102, AZ-104, SC-900, etc.). - Experience with macOS/Linux patching (optional but valuable). - Understanding of ITIL practices.
