Job Title: Instructional Designer Location: GLA University, Greater Noida Department: CDOE Job Type: Full-Time Experience Required: 2–5 years Job Summary: GLA University is seeking a dynamic and creative Instructional Designer to join our academic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing engaging and effective learning content for both online and blended learning environments. The role requires strong collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs), faculty, and technical staff to create instructional materials aligned with learning objectives and pedagogical best practices. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with faculty and subject matter experts to design high-quality instructional content for academic programs. Develop instructional materials including course outlines, storyboards, e-learning modules, video scripts, assessments, and guides. Apply instructional design theories, adult learning principles, and modern teaching strategies to curriculum development. Convert traditional classroom content into interactive and engaging online modules using tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar. Use Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Blackboard, or Canvas to organize and deploy learning materials. Conduct needs assessments and learner analysis to inform course design decisions. Continuously evaluate and improve course content based on feedback, performance data, and learning analytics. Ensure all content meets quality, accessibility, and instructional design standards. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred). Experience: 2–5 years of experience in instructional design, preferably in higher education or e-learning environments. Skills: Proficiency in authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or similar. Strong understanding of pedagogical principles and curriculum development. Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Familiarity with SCORM/AICC standards and LMS platforms. Preferred Attributes: Experience working in a university setting. Knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools is an added advantage. Certification in instructional design or e-learning is a plus.
