Control-M Scheduling & Operations Consultant Location : All location, NOIDA preferred Employment Type : Full time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Control-M & Operations Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing, developing, and monitoring batch jobs using BMC Control-M (Helix) . This role involves API integrations, operational oversight, incident handling, and ensuring smooth execution of batch processes. The consultant will also support related applications, participate in change-control and deployment cycles, and perform administrative tasks within the Control-M environment. Key Responsibilities Job Scheduling & Monitoring Design and implement new Control-M job definitions for Momentum platform processes. Create and maintain job schedules, manage dependencies, conditions, and calendars for reliable execution. Monitor job execution and troubleshooting failures, coordinating resolutions with application and infrastructure teams. Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to integrate Control-M with various systems. Notify job owners and follow up based on job urgency and impact. Re-execute jobs as directed by TTX and/or Maximo support teams. Perform on-demand execution of batch jobs. Control-M Administration Perform administrative tasks such as user and folder management, agent configuration, and environment setup. Administer and support the Control-M/Enterprise Manager and Control-M/Agent environments. Design, implement, and maintain batch job schedules across multiple platforms (Windows, UNIX, Linux, Mainframe) Manage Control-M calendars, conditions, and resources to optimize scheduling logic. Maintain Control-M infrastructure health and perform upgrades or patching as needed. Ensure compliance with scheduling standards and governance policies. Change & Incident Management Execute approved change requests (CRs) including job additions, deletions, and updates. Participate in change-control and production deployment cycles. Reduce change management overhead by handling auto-generated incidents and optimizing ticket resolution. Respond to and resolve incidents related to Control-M jobs. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. API Integration & Testing Integrate Control-M with various APIs to automate workflows. Test API status and functionality using tools like Postman. Operations Management Manage daily operations of Control-M and related applications such as SAS AML and Collect Smart. Perform regular health checks and enforce best practices for job scheduling and execution. Monitor AML processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Documentation & Reporting Collaborate on runbook creation, SLA tracking, and job performance tuning. Maintain comprehensive documentation of job schedules, configurations, and procedures. Generate reports on job performance, failures, and other key metrics. Technical Competencies Proven experience in Control-M job scheduling, administration, and operations. Strong knowledge of API integration and testing (REST, SOAP). Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell, PowerShell). Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) for incident and change management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: BMC Control-M certification. Experience with Control-M Automation API and RESTful services. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments.
