We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Environmental Compliance & Sustainability Specialist to lead our environmental initiatives, audits, and systems improvement.Location: UppugalExperience: 12-15 years in environmental compliance, with a focus on hazardous waste management and effluent treatment plantsEducation: B.E. in Environment or M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering; additional certifications such as CSP or diploma in industrial laws are a plusKey Responsibilities:- Inspect and monitor equipment, operational conditions, and effluent treatment plants to ensure optimal performance and early detection of malfunctions- Conduct technical audits related to environmental compliance and identify gaps in current practices- Perform detailed vendor audits for hazardous waste disposal, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards- Develop and implement environmental procedures aligned with legal requirements and industry best practices- Serve as a technical advisor on environmental issues, policies, and standards- Evaluate environmental impacts of projects and recommend strategies for cleanup, reclamation, and waste management- Assess and improve existing systems for enhancing efficiency and ensuring compliance- Coordinate with government authorities on permits, environmental clearances, and statutory requirements- Conduct site compliance assessments and review SOPs to ensure ongoing adherence- Design and develop technical solutions to reduce environmental footprint and promote sustainability- Analyze environmental data to support informed decision-making and policy updates- Stay current with environmental legislation and ensure practices are compliant- Maintain all necessary permits, plans, and SOPs for continued complianceQualifications & Skills:- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations, ISO 14001 standards, and statutory requirements- Proven experience liaising with government agencies and managing hazardous waste operations- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills- Proficiency in problem-solving, monitoring, and critical thinking- Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent time and cost management skills
