Job Title: Senior Merchandiser – Sportswear / ActivewearLocation: Mayapuri Industrial Area, New Delhi / Noida (NCR)Open Positions: 2About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Merchandiser – Sportswear/Activewear to lead product development and manage end-to-end merchandising operations for knitted garments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in activewear/sportswear, technical fabrics, garment construction, and production cycles.This role requires close collaboration with design, sourcing, production, quality, and buying teams to deliver high-performance products aligned with market trends, buyer expectations, and brand vision.Key Responsibilities1. Client & Buyer ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for domestic and international sportswear buyers.Understand buyer requirements, communicate updates, submit samples, and follow up on approvals.Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and timely execution.2. Product DevelopmentCoordinate with design and sampling teams to develop new activewear/sportswear collections.Ensure product specifications, fit standards, and technical requirements are accurately translated into development samples.Drive innovation aligned with current market and fabric trends.3. End-to-End Order ManagementManage the complete merchandising cycle—from sampling and costing to order confirmation, bulk production, and final shipment.Monitor order progress to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery.4. Costing & Commercial NegotiationPrepare detailed product costing sheets.Negotiate prices with suppliers and buyers to achieve profitability targets while maintaining quality standards.5. Vendor & Supplier ManagementSource and manage suppliers for fabrics, trims, and accessories.Develop strong vendor relationships and ensure adherence to brand standards, compliance requirements, and ethical sourcing practices.6. Quality Assurance & ComplianceCollaborate with QA teams to ensure products meet required quality standards, compliance regulations, and performance testing protocols.Address quality issues proactively to minimize production risks.7. Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate records of samples, approvals, production updates, and account-related documentation.Prepare regular merchandising reports and ensure complete tracking at every stage.8. Production Timeline ManagementMonitor critical timelines to ensure on-time execution and shipment.Identify and resolve delays, production challenges, or quality concerns proactively.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology, Apparel Merchandising, or a related field8–10 years of experience in apparel merchandisingMinimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in sportswear/activewear merchandisingStrong understanding of functional fabrics, garment fit, and performance wear constructionExcellent communication, negotiation, and time management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, PLM systems, and production tracking toolsAbility to manage multiple seasons and work effectively under tight deadlinesProactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindsetPreferred SkillsExperience working with international brands and domestic buyersKnowledge of sustainable textiles and performance fabric innovationsFamiliarity with global compliance and testing standards for sportswear/apparelHow to ApplyInterested candidates can share their updated CV at:
