Job TitleProject Manager – Retail ExpansionSalary - Looking for 18 LPA Budget or max 19-21 LPA based on candidate exp and performance.FunctionRetail Expansion / ProjectsLocationBengaluru (with extensive pan-India travel)Experience10–12+ years (mandatory)EducationBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical / Construction Management preferred)Role PurposeThe Project Manager – Retail Expansion will be responsible for end-to-end execution of retail scale-up across malls and high-street locations pan India. This role owns planning, approvals, execution, cost, quality, timelines, and vendor performance, ensuring every store is delivered on time, on budget, and to brand standards.This is a hands-on execution role, requiring deep understanding of retail fit-outs, mall processes, multi-vendor coordination, and structured project management.Key Responsibilities1. Retail Expansion & Project ExecutionOwn end-to-end delivery of new store projects across malls and high streetsManage multiple projects simultaneously across citiesDrive adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarksEnsure seamless handover of stores to retail operations2. Design Coordination & Drafting OversightOversee store layout drawings, MEP drawings, and detailed execution plansCoordinate with designers, architects, and brand teams to ensure alignment with brand guidelinesReview drawings for constructability, cost efficiency, and complianceEnsure timely finalisation and approval of all drawings3. Mall & Statutory ApprovalsManage all mall approvals including design, fire, MEP, safety, and fit-out permissionsLiaise with mall management teams to ensure smooth coordination and complianceEnsure adherence to local statutory norms and mall-specific regulationsProactively resolve approval bottlenecks to prevent delays4. Vendor Management & NegotiationEmpanel, onboard, and manage contractors, fabricators, MEP vendors, signage vendors, and suppliersLead commercial negotiations to achieve optimal cost and quality outcomesDefine scopes of work, BOQs, timelines, and service-level expectationsDrive accountability and performance from vendors across projects5. Cost Control & Budget ManagementPrepare and manage project budgets and BOQsTrack costs versus approved budgets and flag variances earlyIdentify opportunities for cost optimisation without compromising qualityEnsure accurate billing, certification, and closure of vendor payments6. Quality Control & Brand ComplianceEnsure stores meet Companies quality, finish, and brand standardsConduct regular site visits and quality checksEnforce workmanship standards, materials quality, and execution accuracyEnsure consistency across stores regardless of city or vendor7. Process, Reporting & GovernanceEstablish structured project management processes for scaleCreate SOPs, timelines, trackers, and review mechanismsProvide regular status reports to leadership on progress, risks, and costsBuild predictability and discipline into retail expansion delivery8.
