The Social Media Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s social media presence across various platforms. This includes developing and executing social media strategies, creating engaging and shareable content, and optimising social media profiles to boost brand awareness and foster higher engagement. The ideal candidate will have a creative approach to content development, a strong understanding of social media analytics, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Apparel Resources is a leading media and events company in the fashion and apparel industry. Through our print magazines, online platforms, and industry-defining events, we deliver insights, news, and analysis that shape the global apparel, sourcing, and sustainability landscape.We’re now looking for a Social Media Content Strategist to help us bring our journalism and research-driven content to life across digital platforms. This is not your typical “social media executive” role—it requires a love for reading, strong editorial sense, and the ability to repackage in-depth stories into engaging, platform-ready formats.What you'll doRead and absorb long-form articles, features, and reports produced by our editorial team.Repackage insights into compelling LinkedIn posts, Instagram carousels, Twitter/X threads, and reels.Write crisp, engaging captions and headlines while maintaining our professional, thought-leadership tone.Collaborate with designers/AI tools to produce visuals, infographics, and video snippets.Track performance analytics and evolve strategies to increase engagement and reach.Stay ahead of trends in B2B social media, fashion, sustainability, and retail conversations.What we're looking forEditorial mindset – ability to quickly identify key takeaways from articles and research.Strong copywriting & storytelling skills – can turn industry-heavy topics into engaging narratives.Comfort with research-driven content (media, sustainability, business, retail, tech, or policy).Experience managing social platforms for a media company, knowledge-driven brand, or B2B-focused organisation.Basic familiarity with design/AI tools (Canva, MidJourney, Adobe, etc.) to brief or co-create content.Nice to havePrior experience in journalism, content writing, or editorial roles.Interest in fashion, apparel, sustainability, or global trade.Ability to experiment with new formats (podcasts, newsletters, interactive content).Why Join usAt Apparel Resources, you’ll be part of a dynamic team shaping conversations around fashion, sourcing, sustainability, and technology.
