Company : Allied Engineering Works Ltd.Job Title: Manager – Sales (Utilities / Metering Solutions)Department: Sales & Business DevelopmentIndustry: Meter Manufacturing (Electricity, Water, Gas, Smart Metering)Job Summary:The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and managing key client relationships across utility sectors including electricity boards, water authorities, gas companies, and infrastructure projects. The role involves strategic planning, tender management, and leading sales operations for metering solutions. Key Responsibilities:1. Sales & Business DevelopmentDevelop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.Identify new business opportunities in government and private utility sectors.Expand customer base across electricity, water, and gas utilities.Promote smart metering, AMI/AMR solutions, and related technologies.2. Key Account ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with DISCOMs, EPC contractors, and utility companies.Manage long-term contracts and ensure customer satisfaction.Act as the primary point of contact for major clients.3. Tendering & BiddingHandle end-to-end tendering processes (RFQs, RFPs, e-tenders).Coordinate with internal teams for technical and commercial proposals.Analyze tender requirements and ensure compliance with specifications.4. Market IntelligenceMonitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.Provide insights for product development and pricing strategies.5. Team ManagementLead and mentor the sales team.Set targets, track performance, and provide training/support.Key Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of utility metering (electric, water, gas meters)Experience in government tendering and GeM portalExcellent negotiation and communication skillsStrategic thinking and market analysisLeadership and team management abilitiesUnderstanding of smart metering technologies (AMI/AMR)Experience:8–15 years of experience in sales within meter manufacturing or utility industryProven track record in handling utility clients and large-scale projectsThanks,Aarti Saini
