JOB PURPOSE: The Senior Marketing Manager will lead the strategic marketing and audience growth plan for the energy exhibition in India, overseeing digital performance, database strategy, marketing automation and campaign execution. This role combines leadership, analytics, and creative direction to deliver measurable outcomes across all marketing channels.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Strategy & Campaign Planning: Develop and deliver the annual integrated marketing plan aligned with exhibitor, delegate and visitor targets, defining KPIs and channel mix. Digital Marketing Leadership: Lead paid media (LinkedIn, Google, Meta), remarketing, SEO, and geotargeting campaigns; track and optimise conversion funnels. Database Strategy & Data Build: Drive continuous database expansion, cleansing, segmentation and enrichment; develop data capture campaigns and partnerships to fuel audience growth. Marketing Automation & Nurture Journeys: Design, implement and monitor automated journeys, content funnels and lead scoring models to maximise conversion and engagement. Website & UX Management: Oversee content, user experience and conversion optimisation on the event website and associated landing pages. Analysis & Insights: Build dashboards and reporting models to track KPIs and campaign ROI; analyse results to inform future planning. Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with sales, delegate and sponsorship teams to ensure full alignment on targets and messaging. Team Management: Lead and mentor the marketing team, ensuring high-quality execution and career development. Budget Ownership: Manage and forecast marketing spend; track ROI and ensure budget efficiency across channels.QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Marketing qualification is advantageous. Minimum Experience: 5+ years in mid manager level marketing, exhibition marketing is a must Job-Specific Skills: Strategy creation and critical path analysis Experience in the use of databases in both mass and targeted direct marketing campaigns Experience managing the production of mobile apps and online registration systems People management Website Management and User Experience Excellent writing skills, including proof reading and messaging Marketing Automation, Lead Generation and Lead Scoring Big Data Analysis from multiple sources Budget management, including budgetary responsibility for decision making relating to a wide variety of potential marketing channels Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and relate to all levels both within and outside the organisation Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills Strong attention to detail Hard Skills The successful individual must have used more than approx. 70% of the tools used by dmg events or have proven experience of using an alternative for an events business. ESP – Emarsys, Adestra, Everlytic email composition and analysis CRM/database – Salesforce for campaign management Social Media Channels/ Hootsuite – LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube (content creation, sponsored posts, analytics, and effectiveness) Registration – InfoSalons, N200, Form Assembly (including Social Amplification though InGo or Gleanin) Website – CMS (Umbraco, TYPO3, WordPress or similar) plus experience of design and user experience (working with 3rd parties) Google Suite SEO PPC Advocacy & exhibitor remarketing App management, networking platforms, content delivery platforms (webinar etc) Behavioural Competencies: Good leadership skills Work well under pressure, adaptable and resilient Able to work on own initiative, be highly motivated and proactive Practice good time management Be trustworthy, professional, and reliable Demonstrate good teamwork with co-workers/peers dmg events is an equal opportunity employer.
