Key Responsibilities : Assist Ballistic Experts in crime scene examination involving firearms and ammunition. Support in the identification, collection, preservation, and transportation of ballistic evidence. Perform initial screening and documentation of arms, ammunition, gunshot residues (GSR), cartridge cases, and bullet fragments. Operate and assist in maintaining forensic ballistics instruments such as comparison microscopes, bullet recovery tanks, and IBIS (Integrated Ballistic Identification System). Help in preparing technical documentation and case files under expert supervision. Maintain strict chain of custody for all forensic materials and ensure legal compliance. Contribute to scientific reports, charts, and case opinions in consultation with senior experts. Perform tasks as assigned by the competent authority, which may include court assistance , sample management, or laboratory coordination. Required Qualifications : B.A./ M.A./ BE / B.Tech /M.Tech/BCA/ MCA, BSC/MSC
